My Story
I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, where I grew up as an expat surrounded by people from all over the world. Being part of such a diverse community gave me a rich appreciation for different cultures, languages, traditions, and ways of life. From speaking colloquial Arabic and learning the Urdu script to tasting cuisines from every corner of the globe, I developed a lifelong curiosity for people and what makes each culture unique.
Somewhere along the way, I also fell in love with the Middle Eastern art of belly dancing—a passion that grew into a professional career for twelve years. Interestingly, that experience now plays a big part in my work as a therapist, where I often use movement in Gestalt and NLP-based exercises.
My journey with drama, dance, and movement actually began when I was just three years old in a kindergarten play of The Sound of Music! That early spark never left me. It followed me through dental college and eventually onto the professional theatre stages of Mumbai, where I still enjoy performing today.
I’ve always loved connecting with people from different backgrounds, and one of my favorite ways to do that is by learning local languages wherever I go. I truly believe in the saying, “When in Rome…”. During my student years in Mangalore—five of the best years of my life—I picked up four South Indian regional languages. It helped me make great friends and build warm connections with my patients.
My academic path began in dentistry. I earned my B.D.S. from the A.B. Shetty Institute in Mangalore and later completed my National Dental Board Examinations at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. But my heart always belonged to Mumbai, the city I’d loved since childhood holidays, so that’s where I chose to build my private dental practice.
Over fifteen years in dentistry, I realized how much I enjoyed talking to people—not just about their teeth, but about their lives, stories, struggles, and dreams. That curiosity led me to pursue psychology and psychotherapy. I went on to complete my Master’s in Counselling Psychology, and later another in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Gestalt Therapy.
Bringing together my background in theatre and my training in psychology has been a wonderful blend. It allows me to use tools like role play, dream work, and experiential exercises in therapy—making sessions more engaging and transformative for my clients.
Beyond therapy, I’m also passionate about social causes. I’ve acted in several awareness videos and participated in theatre-based corporate programs on diversity, inclusion, and emotional intelligence. My work has taken me to projects with organizations such as Dell, Deloitte, HDFC, Standard Chartered, and Electronic Arts, among others.

Our body carries everything we think & feel. Movement of any kind, be it dance, yoga or just walking can refresh stagnant energy.
